LELAKI : BMR = 66 + (13.7 X berat dlm kg) + (5 X tinggi dlm cm) - (6.8 X umur)
PEREMPUAN : BMR = 655 + (9.6 X berat dlm kg) + (1.8 X tinggi dlm cm) - (4.7 X umur)
Contoh lelaki berat 90kg tinggi 168cm umur 30 tahun
BMR = 66 + (13.7 x 90) + (5 x 168) - (6.8 x 30)
BMR = 66 + 1233 + 840 - 204
BMR = 1935 kCal / hari
Kadar Keperluan Kalori Harian / Daily calorie requirements
Sedentary - none or very little exercise = BMR X 1.2
Light activity for average of 2 days/week = BMR X 1.375
Moderate activity level exercising 4 days/week = BMR X 1.5
High activity levels exercise & sports more than 6 days/week = BMR X 1.7
Higher activity levels = up to 2 x BMR
Contoh kalau anda tidak pernah bersenam maka DCR =
= BMR x 1.2
= 1935 x 1.2
= 2322 kCal
Berdasarkan pengiraan di atas maka:
- untuk menurunkan berat badan anda, pengambilan makanan hendaklah kurang daripada DCR. Atau saranan pada 1400kCal setiap hari.
- mengawal kalori makanan saja tidak cukup tanpa senaman yang betul.
